outdoors or in.

the concept of indoor / outdoor living pulls at my heartstrings.

neutral hue’s rustic vs. modern event at west elm.

west elm rustic tablescape

we could not have had more fun at west elm atlanta for our rustic vs. modern tabletop event. there are so many pieces that blend our aesthetics perfectly, the pairings couldn’t have been more different and we love this about their mix. here’s a peek at my rustic tabletop for the holidays, and you can pop over to my heirloomed blog to see my styleboard and favorite picks, too!

toddler bed. don’t say it’s so.

so it is not so, yet – but i know it is looming at some point in the next year [ maybe pushing it].  but this one sure seems like a little inspiration of dreamy black + white that will translate perfectly into her current nursery scheme.

lighting your [modern] table.

we are so thrilled about tonight’s rustic vs. modern tabletop styling event with west elm atlanta. here is a little sneak peek at the lighting i love the most to light my modern tabletop this holiday season.

the cooler weather has me wanting to cozy in with my squoosh just a little bit longer.

pillow perfection.

if i could imagine a more fabulous pillow, i don’t know yet what it would be . . . i would love to have this lovely for my sofa or my baby girl-to-be’s new nursery!

[cozy] pillow perfection

faux fur is all the rage now that the cooler weather is upon us.  and if you did not realize yet, anything with the shades of a lead pencil sketch seem to be my thing, + the shades of this pillow are no exception.

1395347_10151919924267235_1692950432_ni grew up with a fireplace – a good ol’ wood-burning one.  when the chill started in the NY fall, the fireplace season would begin.  every cool weekend, every cool holiday.  i can even still smell the scent of burning firewood.

golden plumes.

i love bringing a little bit of the outdoors inside, and this pillow of golden feathers is the perfect mix of simple and luxe all in one.

this week we’re “going gold” for national childhood cancer awareness month. click here to learn more about CURE Childhood Cancer.

existing from aidan gray.

i have so long been a fan of aidan gray‘s original collection – in all it’s worn and throwback glory. the woven detail of this christopher salon chair from layla grayce is reminiscent of a plantation chair styling, with the comfort of simple cushioning – perfect for about any room in my house.

white on white

some like ornate, some like minimal. for me it is about the perfect balance of minimal + serene, calm + peaceful

white on white.

i recently updated our master linens to an all-white ensemble {which is quite ambitious if you know me} but i’m loving the bright, crisp feeling this adds to our bedroom as summer begins to wind down.

white on white.

my version of white on white still adds in elements of rustic wear and tear.

just a pure + simple fondness for white.

barn chic.

my own personal style is certainly barn chic and i am swooning over the fabulous elle decor spread on ellen & portia’s beautiful home.

clear winner.

i’m hard pressed to not like something with a rustic rope handle, even when paired with this more modern lucite piece.

dark floors.

these dark & glossy floors make the perfect match when set against a clean white palette of walls.

loving the loft-like airiness surrounding this lovely fireplace. there is nothing like the roar of a fire for this lovely open space.

my heart is aflutter with this vintage-rustic mantle styling. i love the contrast of the different subways serving as the clean backdrop to the pile of found antlers inside.

eat in.

I wouldn’t mind not bringing the family into formal dining with an eat-in kitchen like this. The high ceilings and rustic beams help to elevate even the most simple of meals.
