outdoors or in.

the concept of indoor / outdoor living pulls at my heartstrings.

pillow perfection.

if i could imagine a more fabulous pillow, i don’t know yet what it would be . . . i would love to have this lovely for my sofa or my baby girl-to-be’s new nursery!

woodburning stove.

i grew up with a woodburning stove in our living room. probably not the norm, but it was to us. that little cast iron number could sure put out some heat and i love the black contrast and rustic design interest it brings to our family home.

golden plumes.

i love bringing a little bit of the outdoors inside, and this pillow of golden feathers is the perfect mix of simple and luxe all in one.

this week we’re “going gold” for national childhood cancer awareness month. click here to learn more about CURE Childhood Cancer.

existing from aidan gray.

i have so long been a fan of aidan gray‘s original collection – in all it’s worn and throwback glory. the woven detail of this christopher salon chair from layla grayce is reminiscent of a plantation chair styling, with the comfort of simple cushioning – perfect for about any room in my house.

barn chic.

my own personal style is certainly barn chic and i am swooning over the fabulous elle decor spread on ellen & portia’s beautiful home.

clear winner.

i’m hard pressed to not like something with a rustic rope handle, even when paired with this more modern lucite piece.

loving the loft-like airiness surrounding this lovely fireplace. there is nothing like the roar of a fire for this lovely open space.

my heart is aflutter with this vintage-rustic mantle styling. i love the contrast of the different subways serving as the clean backdrop to the pile of found antlers inside.

clean slate

after just painting allĀ  my walls bright white (lamb by martha stewart) all is a clean slate for design.

for the birds.

there is nothing like a good mantel in an old home with a peacock to get you in the spirit for thinking creatively in the new year!

there is nothing better than being bundled up in a warm blanket during the winter months. loving these farm-made fabs, a recent garden & gun made in the south award winning runner-up!

wooden piles.

with winter soon upon us, there is nothing i love more than the rustic nod of a pile of wood indoors.

for the cool nights ahead, my little man needs a sturdy looking pillow to dress up his room.
