real men eat quiche.

i had the most delicious seasonal quiche this past week at a lunch meeting and this rustic spread reminded me of how versatile and decadent this transitional breakfast dish can be. what’s your favorite kind of quiche?

tux.

madewell’s new fall collection has be actually wanting cooler weather to be on it’s way {for once!} including this silk tux shirt. simplicity is key and this pairs beautifully with a pair of dark denim skinny skinny’s, black pants & more. count me in.

oh, and don’t forget to RSVP for our fall shopping event at the store this month!

unplug.

sometimes it’s hard to find cute, neutral kids toys that wyatt will love but this little chalkboard laptop caught my eye immediately! because i’m guilty of being on mine all-too-much during the day, it’s the perfect thing to keep him creative and just like mom.

nothing fancy here when it comes to this camping soap but that’s just why i love it so. the simplistic packaging and imprint make it perfect for cleansing or styling alike.

existing from aidan gray.

i have so long been a fan of aidan gray‘s original collection – in all it’s worn and throwback glory. the woven detail of this christopher salon chair from layla grayce is reminiscent of a plantation chair styling, with the comfort of simple cushioning – perfect for about any room in my house.

pouch perfection.

i have a thing for various sized leather pouches, but this one takes the cake. the interesting monogram and simple shape reminds me of vintage cases my grandmother once had for traveling.

white on white.

i recently updated our master linens to an all-white ensemble {which is quite ambitious if you know me} but i’m loving the bright, crisp feeling this adds to our bedroom as summer begins to wind down.

celebrating madewell : #madewellxneutralhue event

ashley of neutral hue at madewell styling event

we had so much fun at our summer styling event for Madewell, and as always our style pairings stayed true to our neutral roots but showcased the strengths of our opposing styles. my pieces always remain pretty timeless & classic – from the white button up, strappy leather flats & LBD – but I had so much fun with the perfect olive green shorts that Madewell had on hand, as well as sharing one of my favorite tips for staying neutral when you can’t resist a little color. my color “hallpasses” include such staple shades as navy, chambray, denim, & olive so going head to toe in the color helps to neutralize and add a bit of sophistication to the look.

madewellXneutralhue summer style

there’s still time for you to stop by your local Madewell and style yourself up in a neutral look, take an Instagram and use hashtag #madewellXneutralhue for your chance to be entered to win a $100 gift card to shop Madewell as well as a styling session with christina & I. enter away!

celebrate madewell : jewelry.

the muted tones and mixed metals at madewell are some of the best around { i can’t get enough brass these days! } and this little gem caught my eye the moment i walked in the store. i love the simplicity and tribal design, but also the length when paired with a plain white tee. simply divine. can’t wait for you to join us tomorrow night at madewell at lenox mall for a special summer styling event!

madeleines.

one of my favorite vintage bakeware tins is my grandmother’s madeleine tin. the beauty of the shell-like design paired with the delicacy of the cookie itself makes this such a romantic treat.
